Recognition reflects Higher Digital’s Momentum in Driving Innovation for Higher Education Institutions

Washington, DC, December 21, 2020 – Wayne Bovier, CEO of Higher Digital, a leader in helping higher education institutions drive actionable change, was named to Washington Life’s Innovators & Disruptors: The 2020 Tech 25. Every year, Washington Life recognizes 25 DC-area entrepreneurs, CEOs, and innovators whose tech contributions have significantly disrupted and impacted their industries.

The need for digital transformation accelerated in 2020 as the pandemic forced higher education institutions to rapidly address changes in online learning, applicant processes, endowment management, and more. Under Bovier’s leadership, Higher Digital has been a critical partner for institutions looking to quickly, efficiently, and cost effectively address these business-critical challenges.

“At Higher Digital, we pride ourselves on having the people, process, and tools needed to help higher education institutions grapple with some of the most pressing strategic challenges of our time,” said Bovier. “This award is indicative of the innovative and passionate spirit our team brings to all customer engagements and of the success and growth we’ve experienced this year.”

Higher Digital brings talented expertise in areas of strategic change management, accreditation, data governance, security, enterprise integration and architecture, and more. In 2020, Higher Digital doubled its revenue, and partnered with leading, innovative institutions to help them navigate the change management required during this unique year.

Over the course of the year, Higher Digital also expanded its assessment tools for benchmarking in the areas of cultural readiness, distance education, security, and digital transformation. The assessments can be found here and are offered complimentary to any employee at any institution.

Higher Digital also expanded its Advisory Board in 2020, adding three new members who deepen the board’s expertise in higher education, information technology, and digital transformation management:

  • Paul Butler, Director of Information and Library Services, University of Greenwich;
  • Kim Wells, Executive Director, Executive Education and The Center for Career Excellence, Howard University School of Business and Managing Partner of Aksum Intelligence LLC;
  • Saundra Wall Williams, Ed.D., CEO, WMS Corporation, and former Senior Vice-President, North Carolina Community College System.

In December 2020, Bovier also joined the Alumni cohort of MindShare graduates, an exclusive, invite-only organization of technology entrepreneurs in the Washington, D.C. region. The MindShare board hand-selects rising, innovative tech CEOs each year to help build the local tech ecosystem.
