Service Assesses Colleges’ and Universities’ Security Postures and Provides Continuous Improvement and Measurement

(SEA)RESULTS  Security helps schools simplify and prioritize resources within their cybersecurity operations. (SEA)RESULTS Security includes a security assessment that establishes institutions’ security baselines to measure continuous improvements against, while identifying strengths and opportunities for managing cybersecurity risks. The program then maps and evaluates current security controls against multiple globally accepted standards and frameworks, including those established by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

Following the initial assessment, Higher Digital works with colleges and universities to mitigate risks identified, optimize security operations, and help build a culture of security awareness across their organizations. The company then helps these institutions plan and prioritize a continuous improvement process, while also measuring progress along the way.

Recent reports indicate that cybersecurity attacks in the higher education space are on the rise. Earlier this year, Moody’s Investors Service issued a warning that cyber risk for higher education is increasing, while a study by IBM indicated that data breaches cost the education sector $4.77 million between 2018 and 2019.
