Colin’s role with Higher Digital is to enable customers to drive more benefits from their existing SIS/ERP software suite and to help them on their journey of digital transformation. His passion is about change leadership where he works with senior executives to help them focus on the delivery of the strategic goals of the institute.

Prior to joining Higher Digital, Colin worked with the Scottish Government on the implementation of their new Oracle HR and Financial suite. This role involved working with 31 external agencies to develop their change management plans and to work through the challenges and opportunities that an ‘Adopt not Adapt’ strategy brings. Before that he was Head of Global Development for Ellucian. He was the leader of the global development division (100+ FTE) for Ellucian Student, HR and Finance. He developed multi-functional teams in India, Australia, Dubai, Mexico and the USA that delivered high quality, SaaS enabled solutions to 20 million students worldwide.

Colin has also worked inside the Higher Education sector. At Edinburgh University he was the Head of Project Services during which he led the implementation of the cloud based eProcurement Scotland strategy on behalf of the Scottish Government; managed the delivery of Oracle’s Service Oriented Architecture suite; developed the IT strategy for the RAE2008 – A Government led initiative that ensured £150M funding for the University & managed the delivery of the largest student CRM project in the UK.

Colin has an MBA from the University of Edinburgh, a MSc in Human and Computer Interaction from Heriot Watt University and his undergraduate study was a BEng(Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of East Anglia.
