HIGHER DIGITALTM Welcomes Five New Advisory Board Members
Edtech and Silicon Valley start-up veteran launches consulting firm to help higher education institutions and businesses effectively manage digital transformation.
October 16, 2017—Tysons, Va— HIGHER DIGITALTM, a consulting firm that provides expert product management and digital transformation services, announces the first five members of its newly created advisory board.
The advisory board will provide strategic guidance to HIGHER DIGITAL’s growing leadership team and weigh in on the company’s service offerings.
With the rise of digital education along with a host of shifting expectations by students, faculty, prospects, and staff, institutions will be nearly mandated to deliver teaching, learning, and institutional services in new and different ways in the very near future. This calls for leaders across the institution to embrace a new set of skills.
Given the pace and breadth of change impacting college and university leadership, HIGHER DIGITAL’s expert advisory board will be a critical strategic asset for the company and its clients. Advisory Board members include:
- Chuck Spence, Ph.D., Chairman
- Brian Kraff, Chief Executive Officer, Market Hardware, Inc.
- Mojdeh Mehdizadeh, President, Contra Costa College
- Lou Pugliese, Senior Innovation Fellow and Managing Director of the Teaching and Learning Action Lab, Arizona State University
- Kristin Stehouwer, Ph.D., Chief Operations Officer and Chief Academic Officer, Northwood University
“I have served as a professor, Chancellor, President, and board member of numerous higher education institutions and companies, and the incredible amount of change facing the industry right now is unprecedented,” said Dr. Chuck Spence, Chairman of HIGHER DIGITAL’s Advisory Board. “Institutions need guidance on how to best organize, plan and deliver advanced student experiences. I am excited about the unique vision and expertise of the HIGHER DIGITAL team and believe they are at the forefront of leading our industry through this cultural and operational shift.”
In early 2017, former education technology executive Wayne Bovier founded HIGHER DIGITAL to help organizations remain competitive by addressing market trends and building modern digital experiences and services that will drive measurable results for their business while meeting the digital expectations of their end-users.
Bovier has built a team of consultants with expertise ranging from product management, user experience, design, financial aid, digital publishing, scaled agile, product delivery, and change management. They’ve held leadership roles at some of the premier consulting and education technology organizations around the world, including: Blackboard, Ellucian, Laureate Education, Regent Education, The College Board, Education Week, and Booz Allen Hamilton, among others.
“We started HIGHER DIGITAL to help leaders quickly realize the future of their business by first making sense of technology they’ve already invested in while also focusing on how best to deliver on that vision,” said Wayne Bovier, Founder and CEO of HIGHER DIGITAL. “We’re honored to have some of the most well-respected leaders in education and technology join our advisory board as we work with our clients to create clear and cohesive technology roadmaps to make their digital vision a reality.”
