Shelkim Crotty

Senior Engagement Manager

Shelkim Crotty is a Sr. Engagement Manager at Higher Digital, providing leadership for change management, leading customers with Agile transformations, and consulting engagements. She builds collaborative relationships with leaders as well as throughout an organization in the higher education space to help them successfully move their teams and institutions through the change management process. 

Crotty has over 25 years of experience in full life-cycle software development, with most of those years in higher education focusing on system implementation, integration, and business process improvement by incorporating Agile methodologies and change management. Having been in roles such as business analyst, quality assurance analyst, project manager, program manager, software development manager, Scrum Master, Agile Coach, and Product Owner, she has a passion for helping global and distributed teams and organizations be customer centric by delivering value to their businesses.  

Prior to joining Higher Digital, Crotty led Agile transformations, operational and business programs, and cloud operations initiatives across the globe at SAP. She helped the growth of an Agile Operations organization by defining vision, strategy, and roadmaps while leading a global team of Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches.  

Before joining SAP, Crotty led quality assurance and development teams at Ellucian, testing and developing Colleague Human Resources, Payroll, Financial, Portal, and Intelligent Learning Platform solutions. Prior to Ellucian, at Syracuse University, she led the implementation of Human Resources, Time & Attendance, and Payroll systems as part of a digital transformation to an updated ERP and Student Information System. 

Crotty has certifications in Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Product Owner (CSPO), and Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE). She has a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and a Master’s Degree in Information Technology, both from Syracuse University in New York.
