As Vice President of Marketing, Hilary Longo leads corporate and strategic marketing and communications for Higher Digital, including brand awareness, digital initiatives, experiential outreach, channel engagement, and public relations programs. These activities align tightly with product marketing and development teams, resulting in collaborative efforts that meet specific needs of higher ed leaders in any role.

Longo honed her marketing strategy and leadership skills through varied experience in B2B high tech organizations focused on the Internet of Things, embedded computing, VoIP and telecom, sprinkled with nonprofit work in cardiovascular health and medical research. The through-line of her career remains her ability to 1) build deep understanding of her target audiences and their needs and 2) convey the value of innovative solutions that address their pain points and help them reach their goals.

Longo also mentors entrepreneurial teams as they perform market research and develop messaging and promotional plans for their companies and products through the National Science Foundation I-Corps program in association with the University of Maryland (UMD). Longo is an executive in residence with UMD.

Longo earned her bachelor’s of science degree from Clarkson University and her master’s of science degree from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
