Co-Founder and COO Colleen Baker named a DCA Live 2021 Power Women in Tech

Award reflects Baker’s leadership and Higher Digital’s success in helping higher ed institutions make better use of technology

Colleen Baker, Higher Digital’s co-founder and COO, was named to DCA Live’s 2021 New Power Women in Tech, an award that recognizes founders, investors, executives, connectors, and engineers who are making significant contributions to the local tech community. Baker is being recognized for her leadership and Higher Digital’s success in supporting higher education institutions in their quest to make better use of technology.

Baker leads the digital transformation initiatives for Higher Digital’s customers and has spent the last 20 years transforming IT and software development, optimizing teams, and aligning organizations across departments and functions. Most recently, Baker created (SEA)change™, a change management service that Higher Digital launched at the EDUCAUSE Annual Conference 2021. (SEA)change™ combines a proprietary SaaS platform, rapid data analysis, and facilitated change to help higher ed institutions accomplish successful digital transformation across the enterprise.

This recognition is the latest of several awards highlighting Higher Digital for its innovation and growth. In 2020, co-founder and CEO Wayne Bovier was named among DCA Live’s Red Hot Entrepreneurs, a list that reflects the leaders of the region’s most successful, fast-growing companies. In July of 2021, Higher Digital was named a company with “Sparks Flying” in DCA Live’s list of Red Hot Companies.
